ROADMAP
1st Playthrough:
Play the game normally while exploring the areas for chests and items.
Focus on upgrading your weapons by finding the upgrade materials such as Quiniching Acid, i highly recommend not buying unnecessary Abilities or Passives from Sester Genessa or redeeming the Consumable Tar as you will need to spend 50,000 Tar at Vlas.
I recommend using the Tar you get from defeating the monsters in buying Roasted Rats from Vlas.
But dont be too hard on yourself, if you think a Abilities or Passives can really make things easier then go for it and buy it from Sester Genessa though you will need to do a little bit more grinding for the 50,000 Tar trophy in the end.
In this Playthrough focus on getting:
– Fun Guy
– Step Goal
– Brigand Life
– Flesh and Instinct
– The Good Times are Killing Me
– Untarnished
– You Seem Different…
– Different Kinds of Grisha
– Purffect
***
DO THESE BEFORE BEATING THE FINAL BOSS
Now create a back-up save (USB or Upload it) before using any of the Consumable Tar, use them all and spend them all at Vlas. If you still didnt get the trophy Sugar Baby then do some grinding for Tar and spend them at Vlas until you get it and then Load your old save back and now buy the Abilities from Sester Genessa that are necessary for the other trophies.
– Sugar Baby (50,000 Tar) (Keep until before final boss)
– Nailed it (Keep until before final boss) (Buy Tools from Vlas, combine with Sugar Baby trophy)
Since we are done with the 50,000 Tar trophy now and loaded our old save back, its time buy the necessary Abilities for the trophies below from Sester Genessa.
– Is This a Sparta? (Keep until before final boss) (Skill bought from Sester Genessa)
– It’s a me (Keep until before final boss) (Skill bought from Sester Genessa)
– Seeker of False Truths (Keep until before final boss)
Try to get this trophy now if there are blocked areas then attempt to complete whats missing during New Game+
– Bars Tended (make sure you collected everything and got all other trophies before Ascending “New Game+” as there are items that needs to be collected and used twice for Max Familiarity such as the “Baguette”.
Story related:
– Bring the Glands Back to Me
– Crossed the Mortal Shell
– Faded the Fire
– Matryr’d the Martyr
– Tragic Loss
– Felled the Glandfather
2nd Playthrough:
Use a different Save Slot for this playthrough.

Gold Trophy
Face Off
Face Off
Defeat Hadern in the tutorial.
Hadren is the very first boss in the game, you will meet him in the tutorial after getting your sword. Beat him and you will get the trophy.
Keep this trophy for later during 2nd Playthrough when you are attempting “Life is Suffering” trophy.
Gold Trophy
Seeker of False Truths
Seeker of False Truths
Unlock all secret lore.
There are a total of 36 pieces of Lore that you need to collect for this trophy (19 Inscriptions and 17 Etchings).

From the total:
– 14 Pieces in Fallgrim Area
– 5 Pieces in Shrine of Ash
– 5 Pieces in Crypt of Martyr’s
– 12 Pieces in Shrine of Eternity
Gold Trophy
Life is Suffering
Life is Suffering
Beat the game in obsidian dark form.
This should be done as a 2nd playthrough using a different Save Slot.

In this playthrough we will not interact with any shells and one hit can kill you.
When the game starts, beat Hadren during the tutorial if you didn’t get the “Face Off” trophy.
As soon as you are in Fallgrim, go to where the Big Frog was and enter the hole nearby to reach a Shrine, now interact with it and Renounce your Shell.
Your character will turn into this dark silverish color with only around 5% health, one hit can kill you in this form.
Since this is your 2nd Playthrough and you are familiar with the monsters and areas, i recommend running past the monsters and only fighting the bosses of each area.

You will only need to beat the 5 Bosses which are:
– Imrod, the Unrepentant (Shrine of Ash)
– Crucix, the Twiceborn (Seat of Infinity)
– Tarsus, the First Martyr (Crypt of Martyr’s)
– Enslaved Grisha (Crypt of Martyr’s)
– The Unchained

This playthrough should take you around 5 hours or so to beat depending on your skills.

I HAVE CREATED A PLAYLIST WITH ALL THE BOSS FIGHTS IN THE OBSIDIAN DARK FORM NO SHELL PLAYTHOUGH, THERE ARE VERY USEFUL TIPS THAT CAN HELP YOU!

You can also attempt to get the “Sugar Baby” trophy during this run as you will not worry about spending money at Sester Genessa as you will not have any shells to spend your Tar on.
Gold Trophy
Brigand Life
Brigand Life
Waste your life away with Baghead.
Baghead is an NPC found in the Fallgrim Area.
Two items are required for this trophy:
– Roasted Rat
– Superior Moonshine
Roasted Rat is a drop from monsters and can also be bought from Vlas for 100 Tar.

Bars Tended

Silver Trophy
Sugar Baby
Sugar Baby
Spend over 50,000 Tar in the Vlas’s Shop.
This can be achieved easily with some Tar grind after you have completed the game but it can be made easier if you just don’t waste Tar by unlocking unnecessary Abilities from Sester Genessa.

I highly recommend NOT consuming any of the Consumable Tar that you get from the Chests or Bosses.
Whatever Tar you obtain from defeating monster i suggest buying Roasted Rats from Vlas, you will have more health regeneration items at hand which will make your game slightly easier.

When you beat the “Final Boss”, make a back-up save (USB or Upload it) and now consume all the consumable tar and then spend them at Vlas.
You can also get the Tools from Vlas for the Balistazooka and get the “Nailed It” trophy as well.
If you are still short then grind for the remaining Tar until you get the trophy.
When you get your trophy then load your old save back and buy the required Abilities from Sester Genessa for the other trophies.
This can also be done during your 2nd Playthrough as its a No Shell playthrough then you will have no shells to spend you Tar on, all the Tar you receive can be spent Vlas.
Silver Trophy
Untarnished
Untarnished
Parry over 100 attacks.
To be able to parry you need to get the Tarnished Seal from the Old Prisoner in the Fallgrim Tower.
You can parry an incoming attack by pressing the at the right moment, you don’t have to follow it with an attack ( or ). Though not all attacks can be parried, if the Tarnished Seal glows red then it indicates that the attack can’t be parried.

I recommend attempting this on the monsters near the Fallgrim Tower, i finished of the other monsters and only kept one so i can focus on him solely.
Look for the hand animations, whenever the hand goes all the way to the back and as soon as its about to come back at you then that’s the moment you press to parry.
If you do it correctly then you can get this trophy within minutes.
Silver Trophy
You Seem Different...
You Seem Different…
Unlock all of the Shells in the game.
There are 4 Shells in the game:
– Harros, the Vassal
– Solomon, the Scholar

All shells can be unlocked easily except for Tiel as you need to beat a Mini-Boss “Ven Noctivagu” before being able to get his shell.

Of course each shell is different in terms of Health and Stamina bars as well as Abilities that can be bought from Sester Genessa except for 3 Core Abilities which all shells have.
